Schrack Environmental has been removing Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems in the Midwest since 1986 and has over 35 years of experience dealing with gasoline service stations and industrial tank installations. Mr. Schrack has removed storage tanks containing hazardous waste, hazardous substances and petroleum products.

SECI has been involved in the Underground Storage Tank assessment, remediation and closure process in Illinois since 1992. SECI has closed hundreds of tank sites in Illinois and has successfully guided clients through the modifications to the Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) program which have occurred over the past 29 years.

SECI has obtained numerous No Further Remediation (NFR) letters from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency through all the programs that have evolved over the past 35 years. In addition, SECI has obtained over $3,000,000.00 in reimbursement from the LUST fund for our clients.

SECI has successfully re-mediated numerous Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) sites, dry cleaning facilities, Industrial properties including steel mills, low level radioactive sites, former manufacturing facilities, electroplating facilities, scrap yards (Automobile salvage yards), abandoned landfills, paint manufacturing plants and a former Nike missile base. SECI recently was approved as the project manager for the remediation of a Superfund Site in Northeastern Illinois.
